We have been teaching law at all levels for twenty years and many new clients come to us through recommendation. Our current clients are to be found in both State and Independent Schools with individual clients from all walks of life.
Learn the Law staff are fully qualified academic lawyers with post graduate teaching qualifications; members of the Association of Law Teachers and our Senior Tutor is a national and international examiner. We also have CRB clearance for your peace of mind and ensure that all staff are suitably trained in the use of the video-conferencing equipment.
Our experience covers courses ranging from GCSE to degree level, specialising in A/S and A Level Law. We have many years experience of writing legal texts, revision aids and resources and write tailor made course materials, which are regularly updated.
Our teaching service is second to none and full support is provided throughout, whilst remaining extremely cost effective and flexible. We believe that our service is the best available and are constantly striving towards providing excellence.
For Schools with video facility:
The video conferencing method of delivery also requires specialised teaching techniques, which are built into our training programme and staff are experienced in distance learning techniques and effective methods of support.
Students soon find they enjoy this unique method of teaching and respond well to the requirements, developing self-motivation and maturity and is a useful addition to their CV’s. Many of our students go on to take law at University and they all state how useful their A level experience was in preparing them for this level of education.
The video-conferencing system is an interactive system of teaching. There is two-way live communication between the students and tutor, questions can be asked by both and discussion takes place. Learning can be checked and the equipment makes it possible to zoom in on particular students if necessary, or move around the group if required.
The hour long tutorial sessions are tailored to furnish the students with a good grounding in each topiC. It is quite natural, in the early stages, for new students to be a little apprehensive about video conferencing, this does not last!
Equipment:
The video-conferencing equipment can have many uses, not just for our teaching sessions. Anyone new to this system might like to investigate the possibilities via the Global Leap Website; sponsored by the DfES. Possibilities like linking to other schools; a superb opportunity to forge links through projects with schools both nationally and internationally. Other uses include links to galleries and museums.
