For office employees there is a formal weekly study programme centred round an interactive teaching session, via video conferencing, accompanied by specialist teaching resource packs, email support and regular written feedback. We can accommodate early bird, lunchtime or after work sessions. This Course is seen by employers as a positive indication of the motivation of their employees, whilst employees see the opportunity given to them by the employer as an indication of the interest shown in them by that employer.
The key to the course is co-operation – between employer, employee and Learn the Law Ltd., you work at a steady pace, at a time suitable to yourself, using specialist course materials with a dedicated tutor, email support and regular contact sessions following the weekly class sessions, which are accessed by the video conference facilities provided by your company.
A/S law consists of two Units:
- Unit 1 The English Legal System
- Unit 2 Sources of Law
- The stand alone A/S qualification consists of the above two units.
A2 law consists of a further two Units:
- Unit 3 Contract Law
- Unit 4 Law of Contract Special Study

Internal and external assessment:
Assessment takes place regularly with essays and case studies from past examinations which are marked by the tutor who provides feedback to both the student and, where applicable, the company contact. External assessment is by way of 2 written exams as detailed below:
- Unit 1 – 2 hour exam
- Unit 2- 1 hour exam
- Unit 3 – 2 hour exam
- Unit4 – 1 ½ hour exam
- There is no coursework
IMPORTANT ENTRY INFORMATION
The United Kingdom has approximately 300 examination centres, based usually in local schools. It should not be difficult to find one nearby. It is important to note that it is the responsibility of the student to enter themselves for the examinations and also to deal with the examination centres directly, not through Learn the Law Ltd. Nevertheless we will be on hand to assist you with relevant information where possible.
Please also note that the costs of entering examinations (exam fees) and any potential subsequent administrative costs are not included in the course price and are a matter between the student and the examination centre they choose.
